WOMEN IN WATER
A guided exploration of body wisdom, self trust, capacity and cold water.
8 weeks · Small group · Women 18+
You don’t have to love cold water.
You don’t have to be fearless.
You don’t even have to know if you want to get in.
You just have to be curious.
THE WATER ISN’T THE WORK.
Trust is. Safety is. Honouring the body is. The relationship with yourself is.
Women in Water is an eight-week experiential series for women who are curious about cold-water practices but want to approach them with more intention, understanding and choice.
Maybe you’ve never tried cold water.
Maybe you’ve tried it and it was too much.
Maybe you’ve wondered whether the benefits are worth the discomfort.
Or maybe you’re simply curious about what your body is capable of when you stop pushing and start listening.
This is a place to explore that question.
SCIENCE MEETS EXPERIENCE
We’ll explore the physiology of cold exposure alongside the lived experience of meeting it.
Together we’ll look at:
Nervous-system responses & cold shock
Breath & cardiovascular physiology
Thermoregulation
Stress, adaptation & recovery
Interoception & body awareness
Current capacity & building capacity
Women, hormones & changing temperature regulation
Perimenopause & menopause
Discomfort, boundaries & choice
Developing a sustainable cold-water practice
The science gives us context.
Your body gives us information.
A DIFFERENT KIND OF COLD-WATER EXPERIENCE
This isn’t about how cold you can go.
Or how long you can stay.
There is no competition.
No pushing through.
No one-size-fits-all protocol.
And no expectation that every woman will have the same experience.
Instead, we’ll explore the small decisions that happen along the way:
Do I want to enter?
What feels appropriate today?
Can I stay connected to myself while I’m uncomfortable?
Do I want to explore another moment?
When is enough, enough?
Because capacity isn’t fixed.
Sometimes we honour the capacity we have today.
Sometimes we discover that, with practice, we can build a little more.
Both are worth knowing.
OVER EIGHT WEEKS
Seven intimate learning experiences will gradually take us from curiosity to experience to trust, with plenty of space for conversation, reflection and your own lived experience along the way.
We’ll explore:
ARRIVING
Learning to notice before we react.
BREATH
Meeting the body’s first response to cold.
RHYTHM
Exploring immersion, sensation and physiological response.
BOUNDARIES
Learning the difference between discomfort and overriding ourselves.
SEASONS
Exploring women’s bodies, hormones and changing capacity.
DISCOMFORT
Meeting the edge of what we can comfortably explore.
TRUST
Putting choice and body wisdom at the centre.
And then:
INTEGRATION
A final sauna + plunge gathering to bring it all together.
No final challenge.
No graduation plunge.
Just an opportunity to experience the practice with everything you’ve learned.
YOU’LL ALSO RECEIVE
Your Women in Water Field Guide
A workbook to build throughout the series with space for:
reflection · body wisdom · personal observations · practices · questions · discoveries
By the end, you’ll have your own record of the relationship you’ve developed with cold water — rather than someone else’s protocol to follow.
THIS IS FOR YOU IF…
You’re curious about cold water but feel:
Nervous. Curious. Unsure. Intrigued.
You want to understand your nervous system rather than simply “hack” it.
You’re navigating the changing landscape of midlife, hormones, perimenopause or menopause.
You’ve had a cold-water experience that felt too intense.
You want to explore discomfort without turning it into a test of your toughness.
You’d like to learn a practice you can eventually take with you anywhere — ocean, lake, sauna, shower or plunge.
And most importantly:
You want to learn how to listen to your body without losing your willingness to explore.
COME AS YOU ARE.
No cold-water experience required.
No particular level of fitness.
No bravery required.
Just curiosity.
We’ll meet the water from there.
